Major: computer science and East Asian studies
Wednesday
6:23 am: Immediately after waking up, I try to get out of bed within 10 seconds and then make my bed. I drink some water as I look at the sun rise.

6:30 am: Here’s a montage of some of my morning routine. Ideally (emphasis on this part), I get out of bed from 6 to 6:30 am and make my bed. I head downstairs to let out Finn for his morning bathroom trip. After we come back inside, I’ll try to practice mindfulness and breathing (I use the app Balance). Next up is coffee! We grind whole beans at home that we purchased from our favorite Black-owned coffee shop in the neighborhood (see me make my first mess of the day). While coffee is brewing, I listen to NPR’s “Up First” podcast to get some daily news. While listening, I will do my hygiene routine (I really like routines, as you can tell). Not captured is brushing, flossing, washing my face and make-up, but here are some of my skincare products! After I am dressed and ready to go, I head back downstairs and pour myself a big mug of coffee — yes, I know there’s barely any coffee. I overdid it a little with the hazelnut creamer, haha. |

7:54 am: Greetings before class |
7:55 am: I never fail to make at least one mess at my desk before class starts …
8:58 am: Listening to “Baby Shark” in Korean was a GREAT way to start my morning
|
9:28 am: Greeting before a morning walk |
9:35 am: The trees in my neighborhood are very pretty, but if I look up too long, I’ll trip and fall :)
9:49 am: Breakfast today is Honey Bunches of Oats with extra almonds (but the generic one) topped with blueberries, banana and local raw honey (shop local~). I also poured a glass of a strawberry-banana smoothie, and of course I have a water bottle.
I like to write out my daily to-do list on a sticky note so I can stay focused on just a few tasks and not get overwhelmed. My other tasks are on a more comprehensive digital list which I can refer to if I finish my sticky note. Not pictured are my other day tasks. Typically, my sticky note has three lists of three tasks (my 3x3): my work tasks, my personal tasks and my to-feel list (emotions I want to experience that day).
9:58 am: It’s laundry day. I feel like I’m wearing more clothes in quarantine than before …

1:21 pm: Greetings before giving a presentation |

6:30 pm: This evening I finished editing this short video. Back in March 2020 I founded the ɬ chapter of Circle K International, the world’s largest collegiate service organization, affiliated with Kiwanis International and Key Club International. This video is going to be played at the annual New England district convention this weekend. It’s been an amazing time serving as club president this year and I’m excited to see the club continue to grow. |

8:45 am: Hello from my Korean class breakout room <3 |
11:27 am: Every day, I make my grandfather breakfast. He typically has four eggs, a muffin, V8 Juice and coffee. I’ve gotten very good at cooking his meals.
12:15 pm: Here’s my to-do and to feel for the day, and yes this is a BT21 sticky note pad. I got it randomly in one of my packages — I would’ve preferred Chimmy, haha.
9:45 pm: It’s been a long day! I’ve been on Zoom since 4:30 pm Eastern time. My first meeting was with the MHC Circle K Anti-Racism Task Force, where we as an org are trying to remove systemic barriers to participation and inclusion in our organization. After that, I attended an info session for a leadership summit I’ve applied to, where if selected, I could walk away with an internship offer. Directly following that event, I had second-year Chinese (yes, I am taking two languages at the moment). After Chinese, I took a short snack break before joining Korean Language Table to discuss couple culture in South Korea. Very interesting and fun!
As you can imagine, I am very tired, so I’ll wrap this up here. Good night!
