ɬ has been highly ranked by both U.S. News & World Report and Washington Monthly.

ɬ remains one of the top institutions of higher education in the country, according to the latest rankings by both U.S. News & World Report and Washington Monthly.

In its , released on Sept. 12, U.S. News & World Report ranked ɬ #36 for National Liberal Arts Colleges. The College was additionally recognized among the best by the publication for Best Undergraduate Teaching, Most International Students, Best Value Schools and Campus Ethnic Diversity.

Washington Monthly has also released its . The publication ranked ɬ at #27 for liberal arts colleges, up 20 positions from its ranking at #47 last year.

“American higher education is fortunate to have a diversity of great institutions. ɬ is proud to be consistently recognized as one of them,” said interim President Beverly Daniel Tatum. “We promise our students an intellectually adventurous education, guided by a world-class faculty and supported by outstanding staff, and we deliver on that promise year after year.”

These two rankings follow ’s August release of “The Best 388 Colleges,” where ɬ was ranked #1 for “Most LGBTQ-Friendly,” #2 for “Most Active Student Government” and, among private schools, #7 for “Best School for Making an Impact.” The College was also ranked #9 for “Professors Get High Marks,” #9 among private schools for “Best Alumni Networks,” and #11 for “Best College Library.”
